Bio

Brad Doidge was named Director of Golf in November of 2021. In this role, Doidge oversees both the Defiance men's and women's teams and has spent the last three seasons co-coaching the women's team with Brent Beck.

Under the director of Doidge, the Yellow Jackets placed sixth at the HCAC's Women's Golf Championship during the spring 2023 season after a sixth-place finish at the Fall Preview. The improvements in the conference tournament come on the heels of back-to-back eighth-place finishes for Defiance.  The team took home top honors at their own Yellow Jacket Invitational and has improved on numerous school records both as a team and individually. Doidge has also mentored two student-athletes who have earned All-American honors from the WGCA for their work in the classroom in 2022-23.

Doidge coached boys golf at Lincolnview High School for 12 years and started the school's girl's team in 2000. His two stints coaching the Lancers' golf programs totaled 15 seasons. Doidge's golf background also includes his time as the Director of Golf at Willow Bend Country Club in Van Wert.

Doidge is married to his wife, Kim, who is a teacher in the Van Wert School system and the coach of the Van Wert boy's golf team. They have three children (Austin, Blake, and Taylor) and three grandchildren to occupy their time.
