Women’s golf gets 2021 spring season underway in Harrison
HARRISON, Ohio – On Saturday, the Defiance College women’s golf team got its 2021 spring season underway with 18 holes at the Miami Whitewater Classic/Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Preview. Mount St. Joseph University is hosting the two-day, 36-hole event at the par-73 Miami Whitewater Forest Golf Course, which measures 5,905 yards.

Mount St. Joseph University is hosting the two-day, 36-hole event at the par-73 Miami Whitewater Forest Golf Course, which measures 5,905 yards.
Competing for the first time since Oct. 13, 2019, Defiance shot 438 during the opening round and trails nine other schools. Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology leads the tournament at 332 and is followed by DePauw University (335).
Leading the Yellow Jackets on day one was Shelby Mercer, who finished with a 94 and is tied for 35th place in a 69-player field.
The event concludes with 18 more holes on Sunday with tee times starting at 9 a.m.
