Aslanian Places Fourth at Trine University Kick-Off

DEFIANCE, OHIO -- Defiance College senior Kristin Aslanian (Trenton, Mich.) shot an 84 to place fourth overall to pace the Yellow Jacket golfers at the season-opening Trine (Ind.) University Kick-Off on Friday.

DC finished the tournament in seventh place out of seven teams in the tournament, shooting a four-man total of 435.

Aslanian was followed by freshman Brittany Rinehart (Mannington, W.Va./North Marion), who shot a 92, tying her for 19th place. Freshman Emily Sabsook (Charlevoix, Mich.) was close behind with a 95, while Cassidy Yant (Churbusco, Ind.) rounded out the team for DC.

Olivet (Mich.) College won the event, shooting a team total of 333, followed by Capital University and Albion (Mich.) College rounding out the top three.

DC returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 2 when they open the Olivet College Labor Day Classic to start a two-day tournament at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall, Mich.
