Defiance Women's Golf Competes at Campbell Classic
MARSHALL, MICH. -- Members of the Defiance College women's golf team traveled to Marshall, Mich. for the two-day Kyle Campbell Classic hosted by Olivet (Mich.) College.

Three members of the Yellow Jacket team competed, but did not qualify in the official team standings. Leading DC, was junior Kristin Aslanian (Trenton, Mich./Trenton) who shot a tournament-total of 174 strokes (88+86=174) and placed in a tie for 29th overall individually.
Sophomore Allison Barron (Ypsilanti, Mich./Heritage) was second for DC with a total of 201 strokes (102+99=201) and junior Mallory Galloway (Marion/Ridgedale) rounded out the competitors at 252 strokes (120+132=252).
DePauw (Ind.) University captured the team championship with a total of 631 strokes (322+309=631). Hope (Mich.) College was second with 638 strokes (319+319=638) and Cathage (Wisc.) College was third at 645 total strokes (325+320=645).
Defiance will compete in the Heidelberg University Invitational next weekend beginning with the first round on Saturday, Sept. 17 at Mowhawk Golf and Country Club in Tiffin, Ohio. The first round on Saturday is scheduled to begin at noon.
