Yellow Jacket Women's Golf Finishes Eighth at Manchester (Ind.) Invite
WABASH, IND. -- The Defiance College women's golf team competed at the one-day Manchester (Ind.) University Fall Invitational and placed eighth of nine teams at the Honeywell Golf Course in Wabash, Ind.
WABASH, IND. -- The Defiance College women's golf team competed at the one-day Manchester (Ind.) University Fall Invitational and placed eighth of nine teams at the Honeywell Golf Course in Wabash, Ind.
Hope (Mich.) College posted the top overall score in the nine-team field with an 18-hole total of 325 strokes. Hanover (Ind.) College was second with a team score of 340 strokes and the University of St. Francis (Ind.) rounded out the top three teams with 344 strokes.
As a team, Defiance posted a combined score of 414 strokes and was led by freshman Kristin Aslanian who shot a single-round score of 90 strokes. Freshman Taylor Carr (Wayne/Elmwood) carded a round of 106 strokes to place second on the team and was followed by sophomore Mallory Galloway (Marion/Ridgedale) who shot an 107. Senior Kayla Uscilowski (Maumee) had the fourth-lowest score for the Jackets with 111 strokes.
Defiance will host the one-day Jon P. Spiess Memorial Tournament tomorrow (Sunday, Sept. 14) at Eagle Rock Golf Club in Defiance. The round is set to begin at 10 a.m.
