Uscilowski shoots career best to lead DC at Defiance Invitational

DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Defiance College Yellow Jackets golf team wrapped up the final home tournament of the 2013 season Sunday afternoon as Kayla Uscilowski shot a career best round to lead DC.
Uscilowski put together a round of 94 to finish in a tie for 6th place in the individual competition and led the way for the Yellow Jackets in scoring. It is her first time finishing as the top Yellow Jacket in the tournament.
Prior to Sunday's tournament, Uscilowski's best round was a 99 on two separate occasions at the Hanover Invitational (2012, 2013). The junior finished the front nine with a 48 and came in on the back nine with a career best nine hole score of 46.
Sarah Westfall finished second for the Yellow Jackets at the Eagle Rock Golf Club, scoring a 52 and 48 for a total of 100. Westfall took 12th overall in the event.
Mallory Galloway took third for DC with a round of 118 and Nicole Baseley rounded out the scoring for DC with a 129.
The Lady Jackets will return to action Sunday, October 6th to finish up the regular season at the Franklin Invitational.
