12 Winter Student-Athletes Named Academic All-HCAC
GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Defiance College winter athletic teams had 12 student-athletes named to the Tom Bohlsen All-Academic Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference list.
GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Defiance College winter athletic teams had 12 student-athletes named to the Tom Bohlsen All-Academic Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference list.
The Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC award is given to those student-athletes in the HCAC with a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.5 and participate in varsity athletics. The student-athletes are also full-time students and have completed a full academic year. The award is named after Tom Bohlsen who was the first commissioner of the HCAC from 1998 to 2008.
DC had 12 students selected to the Academic All-HCAC list. The women's basketball team and women's track and field team each had four athletes named to the list. Men's basketball had two players put on the list. Men's track and field and women's swimming and diving each had one athlete.
