Seven Softball Players Recognized By the NFCA
Louisville, KY. – The Defiance College softball team had seven players recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association as an All-America Scholar-Athlete for the 2014-15 academic year.
Louisville, KY. – The Defiance College softball team had seven players recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association as an All-America Scholar-Athlete for the 2014-15 academic year.
A total of 5,493 softball players across seven membership divisions were given this honor, with 1,018 of those accolades coming within Division III. In order to be named an All-America Scholar-Athlete the athlete must maintain a 3.5 grade-point average or higher.
Those named All-America Scholar-Athletes from Defiance include: Katie Haydett (St. Clair Shores, Mich. /Lakeview), Sarah Kaya (Lorain/Clearview), Kaity Kuhn (Celina), Haley Patty (Bradford), Jill Schneider (Botkins), Brittany Shough (DeGraff/Riverside) and Megan Warren (Mason).
