DC Men's Cross Country Runs At Otterbein
WESTERVILLE, OHIO -- The Defiance College men's cross country team competed as individuals at the Otterbein Invitational in Westerville, Ohio.
WESTERVILLE, OHIO -- The Defiance College men's cross country team competed as individuals at the Otterbein Invitational in Westerville, Ohio.
Competing as individuals, the Yellow Jackets did not qualify in the overall team standings. Host school Otterbein won the event with a team score of 50 points. Ohio Wesleyan University was second with 106 points and Lake Erie College rounded out the top three with 111 points.
Indiividually for the Yellow Jackets, senior Zach Roush (Nashville, Ind./Brown County) led the way with an 8K time of 31:44.5, placing him 152nd overall.
Following close behind was senior Jacob Rindler (St. Henry) who finished in 157th place with a time of 32:04.
Freshman Brandon Zartman rounded out the Yellow Jacket competitors with a mark of 40:33.6 and placed 215th overall.
The Yellow Jacket runners will return to action on Friday, Sept. 30 as they participate in the All-Ohio Championships hosted by Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. The race is set to begin at 2 p.m.
