Men's Cross Country Competes At Bluffton Invitational
BLUFFTON, OHIO -- Senior Jacob Rindler (St. Henry) posted the top overall time for the Defiance College men's cross country team as the Yellow Jackets competed in the Back to the Nature Preserve Invitaitonal hosted by Bluffton University.
BLUFFTON, OHIO -- Senior Jacob Rindler (St. Henry) posted the top overall time for the Defiance College men's cross country team as the Yellow Jackets competed in the Back to the Nature Preserve Invitaitonal hosted by Bluffton University.
As a team, DC finished ninth overall with a combined score of 274 points.
Individually, Rindler paced the Jackets with a time of 21:57.97 in the 6K event and placed 71st overall out of 105 total runners. Senior Zach Roush (Nashville, Ind./Brown County) was the second DC runner to cross the finish line with a mark of 21:58.49.
Sophomore Daren Gies (Plymouth) placed third on the team and turned in a time of 25:29.64. Seniors John Seeley (Sault Ste. Marie, Mich./Sault Area) and Brandon Zartman rounded out the Jacket competitors with times of 26:51.64 and 27:13.84 respectively.
Defiance will next compete at the Otterbein University Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 17 in Westerville, Ohio. The event is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
