Track and Field competes at Otterbein

Westerville, Ohio - Defiance College track and field competed at the Otterbein Twilight Friday afternoon at Otterbein University in their final meet before the conference championships next weekend.
Gavin Maratea turned in a solid performance at the meet. He placed third and recorded a new personal best in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.66 seconds. Maratea also competed in the javelin for the first time and threw a mark of 31.49m.
Ron Scott competed in the hammer throw and shot put. He recorded a mark of 11.63m in the shot put, good for 12th place and competed in the hammer throw for the first time and finished with a mark of 21.30m.
Brianna Snider competed in the javelin and recorded a personal best with a mark of 21.94m.
Track and Field competes in the HCAC Outdoor Championships at Franklin College next Friday and Saturday.
