Women Seventh, Men Eighth in Preseason Indoor Track and Field Poll
The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) released the results of the league's men's and women's indoor track and field preseason poll with the Defiance men eighth and the women seventh.
Players to watch for the men include freshman Marlon Brown (Austin, Texas, sprints), freshman Alex Burney (Angola, Indiana, distance), JaQway Janvier (Miami Gardens, Florida, sprints), and junior Ron Scott (St. Petersburg, Florida, throws).
Rose-Hulman was the preseason favorite and received six first place votes.

Players to watch on the women's side include sophomore Hailei Haynes (Cincinnati, Ohio, sprints/hurdles), senior Lisa-Maria Markau (Cape Coral, Florida, sprints), senior Destiny Oshodin (Toledo, Ohio, sprints/javelin), and freshman Shyla Pemberton (Dayton, Ohio, sprints.)
