Men's Tennis Defeats Anderson (Ind.)
DEFIANCE, OHIO – The Defiance College men’s tennis team defeated Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Anderson (Ind.) University by a match score of 6-3, that was held at the Dix Tennis Facility.
DEFIANCE, OHIO – The Defiance College men's tennis team defeated Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Anderson (Ind.) University by a match score of 6-3, that was held at the Dix Tennis Facility.
Defiance (7-9, 2-4 HCAC) got things rolling quickly after winning two out of three doubles matches to take a 2-1 lead over Anderson (0-4, 0-3 HCAC). The first doubles team of James Demeo (Oregon/Clay) and Adam Swisher (Bedford, Mich. /Bedford) defeated their opponent 8-1, while the second doubles team of Tory Savage (Bryan) and Brian Kurtz (Sandusky/Perkins) won 8-1.
In singles play, the Yellow Jackets walked away with victories in first, second, third and sixth singles to finalize the 6-3 victory in favor of the home team.
DC will return to action on Saturday, Apr. 23 when they host Hanover (Ind.) College in HCAC action. The match is set to begin at 10 a.m.
