Defiance Loses to Earlham (Ind.)
DEFIANCE, OHIO – The Defiance College men’s tennis team hosted Earlham (Ind.) College in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play and fell to the Quakers by a final score of 8-1.
DEFIANCE, OHIO – The Defiance College men's tennis team hosted Earlham (Ind.) College in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play and fell to the Quakers by a final score of 8-1.
Defiance (6-8, 1-3 HCAC) won at the second doubles spot to split doubles play with Earlham (7-8, 1-0 HCAC), 2-1. Juniors Tory Savage (Bryan) and Brian Kurtz (Sandusky/Perkins) defeated their opponent, 8-5. The lone doubles win proved to be the only win from the Yellow Jackets as Earlham swept singles play to take the match 8-1.
The Yellow Jackets will return to action on Saturday, Apr. 16 when they travel to Terre Haute, Ind. to face HCAC foe Rose-Hulman (Ind.) Institute of Technology. The match is slated to begin at 10 a.m.
