Five Yellow Jackets named to All-HCAC
GREENWOOD, Ind. – With the conclusion of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference tennis season this past weekend, the conference has released its All-HCAC Teams.

Mike Ross (Bryan, Ohio / Bryan) headlined for DC, being named to the All-HCAC Team. The HCAC names 14 players to the All-HCAC Team and Ross made the cut for DC after playing number one singles and doubles all season long. He won four singles matches and seven double matches during the year.
Cord Speelman (Bryan, Ohio / Bryan), Ryan Nelson (Oregon, Ohio / Clay), and James Demeo (Oregon, Ohio / Clay) were all named to the Honorable Mention Team.
Demeo had a huge freshman year, going 17-2 in singles play and winning all eight of his HCAC matches. He also went 14-6 in doubles play and went 5-3 in conference.
Also having a big year in singles was Nelson with 14-6 record and 6-2 in conference play. He also won five conference doubles matches.
In conference play, Speelman was competitive all season. He won three matches in singles plays and went .500 in doubles with a 4-4 record.
Rounding out the awards for DC was Justin Walker (Wlison, N.C. / Hunt) after being named to the All-Sportsmanship Team. Walker played strong in singles play, winning 12 matches and going 7-1 in HCAC play.
