The recognition caps an illustrious career for the Oregon, Ohio native, who broke the all-time DC career wins record, as a four-year member of the tennis team. Ault's final record over that span was 105-55, which included all singles and doubles matches in both spring and fall competition.
Ault tied Tyler Ault's previous record of 102 career victories on April 18 against Anderson with a 6-0, 6-4 win at the number one singles position. The senior then went on to break the record against rival Bluffton on April 26 with an 8-2 doubles victory. Ault exits the Yellow Jacket tennis program as the most decorated player in recent DC history.
Another Yellow Jacket men's tennis team member to earn recognition from HCAC coaches on Tuesday was freshman Ryan Nelson, who was placed on the All-Sportsmanship team. Nelson posted an impressive 16-6 singles record playing primarily at the number four singles position.
The Jackets finished the 2012 campaign with a record of 7-16 and 2-7 in HCAC competition.
