Ault Earns 100th Victory as Jackets Take 5-4 Win at Huntington
HUNTINGTON, Ind. – DC’s Tyler Ault collected the 100th win in his stellar four-year career with the Yellow Jackets and the team closed the 2010 regular season with a 5-4 victory at Huntington on Wednesday afternoon.

Ault scored the milestone victory in his first match of the day, teaming with Will Draur to pull out a 9-8 victory at the No. 1 doubles contest. DC would then get an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles from Austin Kleman and Trevor Ault to take the 2-1 edge into singles play.
The Ault brothers came up large once again in the singles competitions, as Tyler earned his 101st win with a 6-0, 6-4 victory at No. 2, while Trevor also scored a straight-set triumph at No. 4 singles. Kleman then pulled out a 6-4, 2-6, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles over Jameel Brenneman to help DC split the six singles matches and secure the 5-4 team win.
Defiance finishes the regular season at 8-10 overall and tied for second in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference with a 5-2 clip. The Jackets won eight of their final 13 matches and will look to continue that strong play into the HCAC Tournament on May 1 and May 2 in Indianapolis, Ind.
DC will be the No. 4 seed and will take on the fifth-seeded Franklin Grizzlies on Saturday at 8:00 am. The winner will then advance to the HCAC Semifinals on Sunday at 8:00 am, with the 2010 HCAC Championship set for 11:00 am.
