DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Yellow Jackets were worn down by the Saints in the second half, dropping an 8-0 decision on Saturday. DC drops to 2-3 on the season while Thomas More improves to 6-1.
The Saints got on to the scoreboard at the 20 minute mark off of a penalty kick as Dan Miller recorded his first of three goals on the night. Thomas More scored twice more in the first half to take a three point lead into the break.
Thomas More continued the offensive onslaught in the second half, scoring five more goals to put the game entirely out of reach. The Jackets were out-shot 22-6 on the night, including a 14-3 disparity in the second period.
Defiance will return to action on Tuesday, September 22, for a 4:00 p.m. matchup against Great Lakes Christian University.
