Men's golf places seventh at HCAC Preview
The Defiance men's golf team placed seventh out of 10 teams this weekend at that Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Preview / Stateline Shootout.
The Defiance men's golf team placed seventh out of 10 teams this weekend at that Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Preview / Stateline Shootout.
The Basics
- The event was hosted by Mount. St. Joseph University and took place at the Miami Whitewater Forest Golf Course.
- The Yellow Jackets shots combined team score of 641 (325-316).
- Franklin College won the vent with a team score of 608, just edging out Transylvania University who shot a 609.
On The Course
- Freshman Dane Harker shot a 152 to finish in eighth place. Harker shot a 77 in the first round and moved up four spots on the leaderboard after shooting a 75 in round two.
- Freshman Spencer Clingaman shot a score of 169 (80-79) and finished tied for 22nd.
- Sophomore Dan Burgoyne shot a 163 (85-78) and jumped up 11 spots on the leader board after round two to finish tied for 36th.
- Freshman Kaleb Reiss recorded a 167 (83-84) ending tied for 47th.
