Men’s golf back in action at MSJ Invite
OXFORD, Ohio – In the opening round of the Mount St. Joseph Spring Invitational, the Defiance College men’s golf squad shot 330 on Saturday and is in 12th place. The 36-hole, two-day event is being played at the par-72 Indian Ridge Golf Club, which measures 6,736 yards.

Franklin College, Ohio Dominican University and DePauw University are in a three-way tie for the tournament lead at 10-over-par 298. Defiance is currently four shots behind Olivet College (326) and five back of Bluffton University (325).
Freshman Dan Burgoyne shot 75 for the Yellow Jackets and stands in a tie for 17th place in an 80-player field. Hayden Clingaman ended day one with a 77 and is tied for 25th.
The event is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday and conclude with 18 more holes.
