Men's Golf Wraps Up Day Three of the HCAC Championship

DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Defiance College men's golf team wraps up round three of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship hosted at Eagle Rock Golf Club on Saturday afternoon.

The Purple and Gold enter the final round ranked seventh overall with a 54-hole total of 951 strokes.

Seniors Alex Miday (Canton/St. Thomas) and Adam McGinnis (Bloomville/Buckeye Central) paced the way for DC in round three finishing tied for 18th with 78 strokes.

Sophomore Hayden Clingaman (Stryker) finished the day tied for 24th with an 18-hole score of 79.

Freshman Daniel Acosta (Torreon, Mexico/Gary Gilchrist Academy) and junior Stephan Dolan (Painesville Twp.) rounded out the scoring for the Purple and Gold finishing tied for 34th with a round total of 83 strokes. 

The Yellow Jackets will compete in the final round of the HCAC Championship on Sunday, May 6. Tee time is set for approximately 8 a.m.
