Men's Golf Set to Compete at the HCAC Championships
FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Defiance College men’s golf team is set to compete this weekend in rounds one and two of 2018 Men’s Heartland Collegiate Athletic Golf Championships hosted by Franklin College at the Fort Golf Resort.
FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Defiance College men's golf team is set to compete this weekend in rounds one and two of 2018 Men's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Golf Championships hosted by Franklin College at the Fort Golf Resort.
The Purple and Gold will play host to the final two rounds on Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6 at the Eagle Rock Golf Club.
The men are led this season by senior Alex Miday (Canton/St. Thomas) averaging 73.9 strokes through 11 rounds of play.
The senior has notched top ten finishes in each of the seven scheduled matches this season, including medalist honors at the Yellow Jacket Invitational.
Junior Stephan Dolan (Painesville Twp.) comes in as the number two golfer for the Purple and Gold, followed by freshman Hayden Clingaman (Stryker), freshman Daniel Acosta (Torreon, Mexico/Gary Gilchrist Academy) and senior Adam McGinnis (Bloomville/Buckeye Central).
McGinnis is set to lead off the day for the Yellow Jackets with a 1:10 tee time.
