Junior golfer Mike Ross finished with a team-best scorecard of 78 that puts him tied for 27th. He has now turned in the top performance through all four rounds of play this season to lead Defiance.
Fellow teammates in senior Alex Goecke and junior Josh Degroff were not far behind, as they each shot rounds of 80 and 82, respectively.
Otterbein College finished with a round of 291 strokes to lead all teams after day one. Host Ohio Wesleyan recorded a 299 to come in second.
Defiance will be back out at the Glenross Golf Club early for the second day of play tomorrow Sunday, April 14. Tee times are scheduled to go off at 7:15 a.m.
