Hicks named to D3Hoops.com All-Region team

DEFIANCE, Ohio - Defiance College's Ryan Hicks has added another accolade to his legacy for the Purple and Gold after being named to the 2014 D3Hoops.com All-Region team.

Hicks was named to the All-Midwest region third team after a stellar campaign for the Purple and Gold.

During his senior season, Hicks led DC and finished third in the HCAC in scoring at 17.1 points per game while shooting 51.4 percent from the field. It was the best among any HCAC player who averaged over 15 points per game. He also averaged 5.9 rebounds and 34.5 minutes per game.

Hicks will graduate DC being only the third player to score over 1000 points, pull down 500 rebounds, block 75 shots and record 75 steals. His career statistics were finalized at 1115 points, 505 rebounds, 80 blocks and 78 steals.

Rose-Hulman senior guard Julian Strickland was the only other representative for the HCAC on the All-Midwest Region team.
