Pettaway Earns Spot on HCAC All-Tournament Team

Pettaway turned in a pair of double-double performances in DC's two games and averaged 23.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 blocks per outing, while connecting on 52.8 percent of his attempts from the field.
The senior opened the tournament with an 18-point, 10-board, five-assist effort in Defiance's thrilling, 69-68, win against Hanover in the quarterfinal round. Pettaway sank nine-of-15 shots, with none being bigger than the final make of the night which found the net from 20 feet out at the buzzer to send the Jackets into the semifinals.
Pettaway then poured in 28 points and pulled down 10 more rebounds to go with a pair of blocks in DC's semifinal loss to Franklin. The 28 points moved the Toledo, Ohio, native into 11th on Defiance's all-time scoring lists with 1,477 career points and gave Pettaway a new career high of 453 points on the season.
Pettaway also set a career-high with 256 rebounds during his final collegiate campaign and along with ending 11th in school history in scoring, ranks second with 75 blocks, sixth with 767 rebounds and sixth with 617 made field goals.
