Bio

Freshman (2019-20): Played in all 10 games... Second Team All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference selection... Led the squad in tackles for loss (10.5), sacks (7.5) and forced fumbles (three)… All of his statistics came over the last seven contests… Tied for first in the HCAC in forced fumbles, fifth in sacks and seventh in tackles for loss... Ended with 21 total tackles (18 solos, three assisted)... Credited with one pass breakup... Tallied a team-high six tackles with 1.5 sacks in the win over Bluffton... Also a member of the DC baseball team.

Prep: 2019 graduate of Mar Vista High School in Imperial Beach, California... Earned varsity letters in football (two), baseball (two) and basketball (one)... Metro South Bay League Defensive Player of the Year in football as a senior after totaling 12 sacks in five league games... First team all-league pick in 2018... Named Second Team All-San Diego Section his senior year by The San Diego Union-Tribune... Had one game with 10 tackles, including four sacks during his senior season when his team posted a 7-4 overall record... Played both defensive end and tight end... Batted .333 as a senior in baseball. 

Personal: Son of Damon Thomas Sr. and Lorenia Haywood... Majoring in integrated social studies and history... Enjoys playing video games and is a part of DC's esports program, competing in League of Legends... Favorite teams are the San Diego Chargers and San Diego Padres.
