Sierra and Feldhaus Named to All-North Region Team

Sierra (Warren, Mich./Cousino) was honored with a All-North Region First Team selection after leading the nation in passes defended with 26 on the season, while being named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference's Defensive Player of the Year.
The senior also tied for the conference lead and was ranked 13th nationally in interceptions with five. The senior made 39 tackles on the year and returned one fumble recovery for a score. Sierra was also named to the All-HCAC First Team.
Feldhaus (Lutz, Fla. / Steinbrenner), who forced six fumbles on the season to lead the conference and ranked fourth in the nation, was named to the All-North Region Second Team. Feldhaus also had five interceptions which tied him with teammate Sierra for the top spot in the conference and 13th in the nation.
The sophomore also had four fumble recoveries on the year and accounted for 82 tackles on the season along with 8.5 tackles for a loss.
Defiance's two All-North Region defensive selections was more than any other school in the HCAC. Franklin and Rose-Hulman each had one defensive player selected to the three teams.
