Spence played a critical role in DC's defensive struggle at Adrian on Saturday, September 8, as the junior averaged 43.0 yards per punt and set a career-high by unleashing a 67-yard boot in the 23-13 loss. The Three Rivers, Mich., native had five punts on the afternoon, pinning the Bulldogs inside their own 20-yard marker on two occasions and forcing one fair catch.
With the 67-yard punt, Spence now boasts two punts of at least 55 yards on the young season and ranks 33rd in the nation with 40.4 yards per attempt through two games.
Spence and the Jackets will open league play at home on Saturday, September 15, when they host Rose-Hulman inside Justin F. Coressel Stadium for a 1:30 pm start.
