Longsdorf and Foos to Play in Ohio National Guard Senior Bowl
DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College seniors Kyle Longsdorf and Tom Foos have been selected to play in the second-annual Ohio National Guard Senior Bowl. The game will be presented by OhioCollegeFootball.com on Saturday, April 23 at Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.

The game will feature Ohio's top collegiate football student-athletes from the NCAA I-A, II, III and NAIA levels. A roster of 81 players will be split into North and South teams, with Ashland University head coach Lee Owens coaching the North squad and Henry Stanford of Capital University leading the South roster.
Longsdorf was tabbed as a D3football.com Third-Team All-American and the 2010 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Most Valuable Player after leading all NCAA Division III defensive backs with 139 total tackles during his senior season, while adding 4.5 sacks and four interceptions from his free safety position. Longsdorf will compete for the North roster in the Senior Bowl.
Foos was named to the Senior Bowl's South lineup, after earning HCAC Special Teams Most Valuable Player and D3football.com Second-Team All-North Region accolades in his final collegiate campaign. Foos averaged 38.2 yards per punt and pinned 19 attempts inside the 20-yard line to anchor the Yellow Jacket special teams in 2010.
The 2011 Ohio Army National Guard Senior Bowl is set to begin at 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 23 and will be available via tape delayed broadcast on Sports Time Ohio.
