Esports defeated in Rocket League, League of Legends matches

In the morning, Defiance lost a very competitive Rocket League match with Tiffin, 3-2 in a best-of-five series. After a slow start and losing games by the scores of 9-0 and 4-1, the Yellow Jackets rallied with 3-0 and 3-1 wins to force a fifth and deciding contest. DC fell, 5-0, in the final game.
Aaron Sommers paced Defiance with four goals while Christian Rennie had two. Joshua Szostek added a goal in the game three victory, breaking a scoreless tie with 1:06 left.
The Yellow Jackets' League of Legends squad fell, 2-0, in a best-of-three afternoon match to a strong group from Trine, which will enter the GLEC playoffs as the No. 1 seed.
Haider Hasan collected nine takedowns to lead DC. Teammates Stephen Jones, Damon Thomas, Michael Eddins and Dakota Swift each finished with seven takedowns.
Defiance's RL team concludes the regular season with a 2-4 record this fall. In LoL, the Jackets ended 1-5 and are expected to take part in the GLEC playoffs next Saturday.
