Athletic facilities closed until further notice

DEFIANCE, Ohio – On Tuesday, Defiance College announced that it will close all of its athletic facilities until further notice, effective immediately. The decision was made because of the continued public health threat of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The facilities to remain closed include DC's George M. Smart Athletic Center, Karl H. Weaner Community Center and McMaster Center.

Due to the serious safety concerns and to reduce the spread of COVID-19, the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference suspended spring sports indefinitely while Defiance put all athletic activities on hold until at least March 27.
