Fett Leads DC at Regional Preview
DELAWARE, OHIO -- The Defiance College women's cross country team placed 17th out of 18 teams at the Regional Preview meet at Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday morning.
DELAWARE, OHIO -- The Defiance College women's cross country team placed 17th out of 18 teams at the Regional Preview meet at Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday morning.
DC was led by junior Olivia Fett (Defiance), who placed 84th out of 237 runners in the six-kilometer race with a time of 24:43.7. Fett was followed by freshman Kenna Bell (Piqua) and senior Aaron Textor (Swanton), who finished 150th and 151st, respectively. Bell ran a time of 26:12.2, while Textor crossed the line in 26:15.3.
Freshman Makenzie Sides (Vanderbilt, Mich./Johannesburg-Lewiston) and Meagan Trimpey (Bowling Green) wrapped up the field for the Yellow Jackets with times of 38:02.9 and 38:04.1.
Hope (Mich.) took home the team title with 64 points, with Otterbein and Kenyon wrapping up the top three. Defiance placed 17th with 507 points, finishing ahead of Spalding (Mich.)
DC returns to the course on Saturday, Sept. 16 as they travel to Westerville for the Otterbein Invitational. The women's raceis slated to start at 11:30 a.m.
