Defiance Competes at Manchester (Ind.)
NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. – The 2015 cross country season began with the Yellow Jacket women’s team competing against two other schools at the annual Hokum Karem meet hosted by Manchester (Ind.) University.
NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. – The 2015 cross country season began with the Yellow Jacket women's team competing against two other schools at the annual Hokum Karem meet hosted by Manchester (Ind.) University.
The event consisted of teams of two or three running a six mile relay where the runners alternated each mile.
Defiance was led with a sixth place finish by the duo of junior Eme Miller (Portland, Ind. /Jay County) and sophomore Aaron Textor (Swanton) with a total time of 39:27.9.
Not far behind were senior Waverly Weaks (Liberty Center) and juniors Kayla Miller (Wadsworth) and Emily Denhard (Troy, Mich. /Kolbe Academy) placing 13th overall with a combined time of 50:17.5.
The Purple and Gold will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 10 am for the Franklin (Ind.) College Invitational in Shelbyville, Ind.
