Yellow Jackets Compete in Franklin (Ind.)
FRANKLIN, IND. – The Defiance College women’s cross country team traveled to Franklin, Ind. to compete in the Sodexo Grizzly Invite and finished eighth with a team score of 220.
FRANKLIN, IND. – The Defiance College women's cross country team traveled to Franklin, Ind. to compete in the Sodexo Grizzly Invite and finished eighth with a team score of 220.
Defiance was led by junior Eme Miller (Portland, Ind. /Jay County) who ran a time of 23:41.13 and placed third overall. Sophomore Aaron Textor (Swanton) had the second quickest time for the Yellow Jackets with 28:24.49 and was followed by senior Waverly Weaks (Liberty Center) who crossed the finish line with a mark of 32:42.60. Junior Emily Denhard (Troy, Mich. /Kolbe Academy) completed the course in a time of 33:03.03 to place fourth on the team and junior Kayla Miller (Wadsworth) rounded out the scoring times after crossing the finish at the 26:34.31 mark.
The Yellow Jackets will compete next on Saturday, Sept. 19 when they travel to Westerville, Ohio to compete in the Otterbein University Invitational. The meet is set to begin at 11 a.m.
