Cross country competes at HCAC Championships
The Defiance men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday afternoon.
The Defiance men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday afternoon.
The Course
- The event was held at the Blue River Memorial Park in Shelbyville, Ind. with Anderson University serving as host.
- Earlham College won the men's 8k while Manchester University claimed the conference title in the women's 6k.
The Men's Race
- Sophomore John Reese placed 47th with a time of 29:49.4, a new personal best.
- Thomas Richardson from Manchester won the race with a time of 26:28.8.
The Women's Race
- Senior Katelyn Smith led the DC women with a personal best time of 26:58.5, placing 32nd.
- Sophomore Sloane Livingston made her cross country debut with a 68th place finish with a time of 29:33.6.
- Sophomore Paige Rohloff also made her debut with a time of 31:34.7, good for 75th place.
- Elizabeth Lohman of Manchester placed first with a time of 23:37.2.
