Beauregard joins Volleyball staff as Assistant Coach
Defiance volleyball head coach Nick Umbdenstock has announced the hiring of Alexis Beauregard as assistant coach.
Alexis comes to Defiance after playing two years of volleyball at NCAA Division III Waynesburg University while also serving on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Following her sophomore year at Waynesburg, she transferred to the University of Toledo to study Exercise Science. During her time at UT, she was awarded the Fitwell Employee of the Year Award at the Student Recreation Center for her role as a personal trainer.
"I'm very excited to bring Alexis on board. She has a great energy and drive to help us reach our goals as a program. She's a great addition to Defiance College and I can't wait to see our progress this spring and onward!" Said head coach Nick Umbdenstock.
Alexis has worked as a head coach for a number of programs including Toledo Dynamic Volleyball, Central Catholic High School, and Toledo Volleyball Club. In 2022, she became the head coach of FCA Volleyball Toledo, where she led players in Biblical devotionals and coached them through Premier's house league.
"I am excited to bring my coaching knowledge and story to Defiance. My goal is to coach each player individually, and from those interactions see the team growth that will result for the program! Jesus has blessed me with this sport. I look forward to giving back to the DC volleyball players this season both in and out of the gym. Go Jackets!" Said new assistant coach Beauregard.
