Craft tabbed HCAC Pitcher of the Week for second time this season
CARMEL, Ind. - The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) announced Anika Craft as the conference pitcher of the week yesterday afternoon (Apr. 22). This is the second time this season that Craft has been named the conference pitcher of the week.
In total for the week, Craft compiled 14.2 innings on the mound with 22 strikeouts and an ERA of 0.99. Against Earlham on Monday, she helped DC earn a split by throwing a complete game shutout while striking out nine. It was her first shutout of the season.
On Saturday at Hanover, she led the Yellow Jackets to another split as she held the Panthers offense to just one run on six hits while striking out 12. In total at Hanover, she pitched 7.2 innings and struck out 13.
The Yellow Jackets are off during the week and return to action this Saturday, April 27 as they travel to Kentucky to play Transylvania.
