Barnett nominated for two Nfinity Cheer Coach of the Year Awards
DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College cheer and dance coach Morgan Barnett has been nominated to receive one of Nfinity Cheer's Coach of the Year Awards. The awards are aimed to recognize cheerleading coaches around the country at a variety of levels for their impact and celebrate their dedication to their athletes.
The cheerleading shoe and apparel brand rolled out its first Cheerleading Coach of the Year nominations this summer to honor cheerleading coaches from all 50 states at four different competitive levels (varsity, JV, middle school/junior high, and recreational). Barnett received nominations for varsity competition at Defiance College and the recreational category through her Champion Force teams in Defiance and Bowling Green. All nominations were anonymous and the awards will be announced later in August.
"Since the nominations were anonymous, I don't know who nominated me but I want to say a huge thank you!" says Barnett, who is in her first full year as DC's cheer and dance coach. "I am blown away and so happy that I have impacted the lives of both my athletes with both Champion Force and Defiance College."
