Defiance Trio Runs at #JennaStrong Fall Classic

WILMINGTON, OHIO -- The Defiance College women's cross country team had three individuals represented at the #JennaStrong Fall Classic, hosted by Wilmington University, on Friday evening.
DC was led by junior Olivia Fett (Defiance), who placed 83rd in a field of 300 runners, running a five-kilometer time of 21:07.4, which is a collegiate best for Fett. Freshman Kenna Bell (Piqua) also ran a personal-best time of 22:22.8, good enough to finish in the 149th spot, while senior Aaron Textor (Swanton) placed 167th with a time of 22:42.6.
Cleveland State University dominated their way to a victory with three of the top five places in the meet, with Shawnee State placing second and Miami (Ohio) in third. CSU's Karen Barrientos led the way with a time of 17:59.1
The Yellow Jackets will run in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday, Oct. 28 at Manchester University. The six-kilometer race will begin at 1 p.m.
