DC Travels to Cedarville for the Yellow Jacket Invite

CEDARVILLE, OHIO - The Defiance College women's track and field team traveled to Cedarville on a rainy Saturday afternoon for the Yellow Jacket Invite. 

Junior Madi Bowman led the Purple and the Gold in the hammer throw with a tenth place finish and a toss of 36.06 meters.

The junior also took home an eighth place finish in the discus throw with a distance of 35.42 meters, while claiming a 14th place finish in the shot put at 10.18 meters. 

In the javelin, freshman Blake Newman posted a strong performance as she took home seventh place with a distance of 20.58 meters.

The Yellow Jackets return to action on Saturday, April 6 as they travel to Oberlin for the Bob Kahn Invite.
