Women's Tennis Finishes 2018-19 Season with Sweep
DEFIANCE, OHIO - The Defiance College women's tennis team wrapped up their 2018-19 campaign in victorious fashion on Tuesday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets defeated their visitors, Ohio Christian, by a 7-0 scoreline.

In doubles play, Hannah Hesterman (Archbold / Archbold) and Cayla Walker (Archbold / Archbold) wrapped up their final spring season with an 8-1 victory. The Archbold duo finished with a 5-9 record across fall and spring competition.
A.J. Breneman (Bryan / Bryan) and Sydney Huston (Indianapolis, Ind. / Lawrence) duplicated the result, taking an 8-1 victory in the number two doubles slot as well.
Hesterman blanked her OC opponent in number one singles with the 6-0, 6-0 performance. Breneman was off to a quick start, taking her first singles set 6-0 before winning the second in a tighter 6-4.
Walker made quick work with a 6-1, 6-1 win in number three singles. Alexa St. Julian grabbed the final singles victory of the day with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep of her Trailblazer opponent.
Defiance finishes the 2018-19 season with a combined 6-16 record and a 2-4 record during 2019 spring action.
