Women's Tennis Wraps Up Spring Break Trip

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Defiance College women's tennis team wrapped up their spring break trip with a match against Methodist University on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets fell to Monarchs 9-0. 

Cayla Walker (Archbold/Archbold) and A.J. Breneman (Bryan/Bryan) picked up three game wins in number one doubles action. The Monarch number one pairing proved to be strong, winning the contest 8-3. 

On the singles side Walker fell 6-1, 6-4 to her Methodist foe. Alexa St. Julian (Oregon/Clay) grabbed an equal number of games from her opponent in number five singles, similarly falling 6-4, 6-1. 

The Yellow Jackets finish the South Carolina action with a 1-2 record. DC will return to the court Wednesday, March 20th, as they host Ohio Christian. First serve is set for 4:00 pm.
