The Lions Defeat the Yellow Jackets

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Defiance College women's tennis team finished their spring break trip at Hilton Head, S.C. with a 9-0 loss to Eastern Nazarene (Pa.) University.

With a forfeit in the third doubles spot and the sixth singles spot from Defiance (5-15), Eastern (5-11) already took an early 2-0 lead. The Lions extended their lead to 4-0 after sweeping doubles play.

In singles play, the Lions finalized the match in 9-0 fashion after defeating the Yellow Jackets in all singles positions. Freshman Hannah Hesterman (Archbold) and senior Dava Donaldson (Elyria) both forced their Lion foe to a third set decision, eventually dropping the overall match.
