Defiance Swept by Rose-Hulman

Terre Haute, IND. – The Defiance College women's tennis team traveled to Terre Haute, Ind. to face Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Rose-Hulman (Ind.) Institute of Technology and dropped the match by an overall score of 9-0.

Junior Savannah Marquez (Porterville, Calif. / Porterville) led Defiance (0-7, 0-5 HCAC) against Rose-Hulman (4-1, 2-1 HCAC) winning two games at the first singles spot.

Junior Nicole Tank (Lincoln Park, Mich. / Roosevelt) was right behind Tank earning one game in her match at the third singles spot.

The Yellow Jackets return to action Wednesday, Oct. 1 when they host Anderson (Ind.) University. The match is set to begin at 4 p.m.
