DC Drops HCAC Tri-Match with Bluffton and Rose-Hulman

DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Defiance College women's tennis team dropped matches to HCAC foes Bluffton University, 6-3, and the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, 9-0, on Sunday, September 21. DC falls to 0-5 in the HCAC with the losses, while moving to 0-6 overall.

Amanda Auzins led the Jackets with two victories against Bluffton, claiming a 6-4, 6-0 victory in No. 1 singles and teaming with Mandy Losby to defeat the Beavers, 8-4, in No. 1 doubles. Cindy Toth was the only other person to record a singles victory for DC, winning her No. 3 singles match against Bluffton, 5-7, 6-2, 10-5.

The Jackets will be back in action on Tuesday, September 23, when it hosts Huntington College for a 4:00 p.m. tilt.
