BEREA, Ohio - The Defiance College women's soccer team was defeated this afternoon, falling 6-0 to Baldwin Wallace in Berea, Ohio.
Baldwin Wallace was on the attack right out of the gate, holding Defiance to no shots in the first period. BWU opened the scoring with goal number one just 13 minutes into the first half. Seven minutes later Baldwin struck again, jumping out to 2-0 lead before netting a third in the 36th minute to close the first half 3-0.
It didn't take long after half time for BWU to strike again, sending a fourth goal to the back of the net at the 47:10 minute mark. Baldwin Wallace finished off with two more goals, securing a 6-0 win against Defiance.
DC was held to one shot compared to Baldwin Wallace's 22. Madi Bowman made five saves while in net for Defiance.
The Yellow Jackets return to action on Saturday, September 30 as they host Franklin (Ind.) College. Action starts at 1:00 PM.
