Yellow Jackets Fall 2-0 to Rochester

Yellow Jackets Fall 2-0 to Rochester

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – DC played tough the first half, but surrendered two goals in the second and fell, 2-0, to Rochester.

The Yellow Jackets (2-3) couldn't find any offense against Rochester (3-5).

Maegan Redick (Lima, Ohio / Shawnee) put the most threat on Rochester.  She let go of two shots throughout the game, both of them required a save from the goalie.  Fellow seniors Melina Alexander (Clio, Mich. / Clio Area) and Lindsay Bubnick (Lima, Ohio / Shawnee) added one shot on goal apiece.

The DC defense kept the Yellow Jackets within striking distance for most the game, not allowing a goal the whole first half.

The defense also kept it at a one goal game until nearly the 81st minute.

June Delgreco (Dearborn Heights, Mich. / Crestwood) played strong in goal all day for the Yellow Jackets.  Of the 14 shots she faced she was able to put a stop to 12 of them.

DC will be back in action on Thursday, September 18.  They will travel to Kenyon College to play with a start time set for 4:30 pm.
