Women's Golf Competes at the HCAC Preview
RICHMOND, IND. - The Purple and Gold women's golf team competed at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference preview this past weekend finishing ninth in the ten team field with a two day total of 869 (440-429) strokes.
RICHMOND, IND. - The Purple and Gold women's golf team competed at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference preview this past weekend finishing ninth in the ten team field with a two day total of 869 (440-429) strokes.
Defiance was led on the weekend by freshman Shelby Mercer (Canton/Glenoak) who finished tied for 33rd with 195 (91-104) strokes.
Sophomore Emily Sabsook (Charlevoix, Mich.) finished tied for 42nd with 206 (106-100) strokes, while freshman Morgan Beaverson (Sylvania) placed tied for 51st with 225 (113-112) strokes. Freshman Heather Jogerst (McClure/Otsego) tied for 54th place with 243 (130-113) strokes to round out the scoring.
Defiance returns to action next weekend as they compete at the HCAC Championships hosted by Earlham College.
