Megan Warren begins her fourth year as Head Coach with the Yellow Jackets softball team in 2020-21 after serving as the Acting Head Coach for the 2019 season. 

In the summer of 2022, Warren was appointed the Defiance Athletics Compliance Coordinator and Senior Women's Advisor.

During the 2018-19 campaign, she led the program to its third straight Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament appearance posting an overall record of 21-18, 9-7 HCAC.

Warren returns to Defiance College from Purdue University where she served as an Athletic Training Graduate Assistant. While at Purdue, Megan also served as Volunteer Assistant Softball Coach for West Lafayette High School. 

During her tenure as head coach, she has coached over 18 All-HCAC selections, coached 2020 Player of the Year Kalin Hubble (19-22), coached three NFCA Division III All-Regions honorees, has broke multiple softball hitting and pitched records, and has led the squad to two HCAC Tournament appearances.

While at Defiance, Megan was a four-year softball player for the Yellow Jackets. She earned Second Team All-HCAC honors once and Academic All-HCAC honors twice during her career. Warren was also named First Team All-HCAC and NFCA Third-Team All-Central Region for her senior season efforts. Warren played 145 games in a Yellow Jacket uniform. Megan's 149 career hits place her third all-time at Defiance, while her 100 RBI's place her second on the career leaderboard. Warren's 36 career doubles land her first on the Defiance charts. Warren helped lead the Yellow Jackets to the HCAC Tournament during her senior season.

Warren, a Mason, Ohio native, graduated with a Master of Business Administration degree from Defiance College in May of 2020.
