Makayla McAvoy will enter her second season with the Defiance College softball team in 2020-21 as an assistant coach. 

McAvoy returns to Defiance College from California State University - Chico where she served as Athletic Training Graduate Assistant and earned a Master of Kinesiology degree with an athletic training education option. 

While at Defiance, Makayla was a four year softball player for the Yellow Jackets, where she appeared in 128 games, recorded 66 hits, and an on-base percentage of .338. She graduated in May of 2016 from Defiance College with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training.
